Attention Parents/Guardians:
This message is for all students attending our SHS Prom on April 1. Prom is scheduled from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Sinton Lumberyard Events Co. There is a 10 p.m. curfew for Prom this year. This means that students must be in the door by 10 p.m. or they will not be allowed to enter. Also, be aware that all party buses, limos, vans and vehicles that arrive to prom are subject to be searched by Sinton school administrators in conjunction with our school resource officers if there is suspicion of alcohol or anyone under the influence of an illegal substance. Students or guests in possession of tobacco, vaping devices, alcohol, illegal substances or anything prohibited in the student code of conduct will be removed from the event.
Please read and follow the 2023 Prom Dress Code and Guidelines (copy/paste the link at the bottom of the page to view) as it will be enforced by school administrators and staff working as prom chaperones. It is the responsibility of the student to seek prior approval from an administrator if he/she has questions concerning his/her clothing. Therefore, approval must be given by administration BEFORE March 24 or the student runs the risk of being turned away for violating the dress code when checked at the door.
Also, if you are bringing a guest from another school, it is your responsibility to make them aware of our dress code policy. You may pick up guest forms in the front office beginning Jan. 23, 2023, and have until March 24, 2023, to return the completed forms into the front office. Only approved students and guests with prom tickets will be allowed into the prom. Students--we want you to have a memorable night, so please make the right choices and enjoy a great evening with friends and family at your 2023 Prom.
